Hot Chocolate Bar - Don't forget all of the toppings and gorgeous bits and bobs that make the perfect hot chocolate station!
I love a Christmas party, a chance to get together with our pals and celebrate the festive season. However, my wild nights out are few and far between these days. I tend to be tucked up in my pyjamas by 9pm and I’m okay with that. That’s no reason not to party, right? So this year, we’re going to have a family friendly day time get-together. See everyone and still in bed by a reasonable hour. (Yes, I did just say that.)

A couple of weeks ago, Homesense (one of my fave shops ever) got in touch and asked me if I’d like to have a look at the festive range in my local store. I jumped at the chance and I knew it would be a perfect opportunity to stock up for a family friendly party. I’d seen hundreds of ‘hot chocolate stations’ all over Pinterest and so I decided to create my own.

If you’ve never been to a Homesense store (where have you been?!) they sell quirky, unique and quality homewares and gifts at up to 60% off the recommended retail price. They don’t sell online as the stock changes so quickly. It is a little bit addictive as you never quite know what you’ll find, which is definitely part of the fun.

I did get a little distracted by everything else before I made it to the things I actually needed. I was super impressed by the range of gifts instore, really well thought out displays arranged by recipient would make shopping simple for even the least enthusiastic Christmas shoppers. Here’s a little video run down of everything I bought in Homesense.

For my hot chocolate station, I’m going to make up my Prestat hot chocolate (£4.99) and pop it in the slow cooker, to keep it warm for people to help themselves into the recycled glass mugs (£2.49 each).

They can the add almond syrup (£3.99) and dip biscotti (£3.99). Marshmallows are served in this gorgeous Portugese red bowl (£5.99) and sprinkles in my gingerbread muffin dish (£9.99). Straws are in the retro straw dispenser (£9.99).
