FAQs about this Naan Bread Pizza Recipe

How do you make naan bread pizza?

If you follow this recipe once, you might not need it again – it’s that easy.

Just mix up some passata, garlic and oregano, spread over the naan bread, add your cheese and chosen topping, then bake in a preheated oven for about 10 minutes.

Don’t forget to preheat your baking sheets in the oven too to help crisp the bases. Done!

Can I use different pizza toppings?

Yes! I usually go for red onion and pepperoni slices, but mix it up with whatever you like: ham, mushroom, peppers, cooked chicken… give it a go.

What kind of cheese should I use?

Grated mozzarella is a perfect stringy pizza-topping cheese.

I wouldn’t recommend fresh mozzarella balls here as they are quite wet and we are trying to crisp these bases up quickly.

I want REALLLLLY crisp pizza bases – what can I do?

You can cook your naan naked for 5 minutes before adding the topping if you want really crispy bases.

I do sometimes do this, but on the return to the oven with the toppings you need to watch carefully that the edges of the ‘pizzas’ don’t burn as they can get over cooked.
