FAQs about this Honey BBQ Salmon Recipe
How do you make Honey BBQ Salmon?
Put all the ingredients for the sauce into a jug and mix well, then brush the salmon with the sauce and cook it for 12-15 minutes, or until just cooked through. Heat the rest of the sauce in a saucepan and stir until thickened for about 5 minutes. Serve up the cooked salmon on plates and pour over the sauce. That’s it!
What should I serve with the salmon?
I love to keep salmon dishes light and simple, so I make it with homemade spiced potato wedges and a side salad.
Microwave rice pouches are also a really quick shortcut to serve with this.
Can I cook this on the barbecue?
Yes! This is a fab summer recipe and something a little different from the usual sausages and burgers on the barbecue. Add a drizzle of the sauce as it cooks and make sure you cook the salmon as evenly as possible to make sure it’s cooked through.
How do you make the salmon honey glaze?
You can create the honey glazed salmon flavour by simply using the barbecue sauce to brush over the fillets before you put them in the oven. This will give them a depth of flavour as they cook.
Reducing the sauce down for longer in a saucepan, makes it even more delicious to serve with the salmon.
Can I use this sticky barbecue sauce for other dishes?
Yes, definitely. It’s great on chicken breast, chicken wings or thighs too when you need a sticky dish.
Can I use this as leftovers or make it beforehand?
You can make the sauce ahead of time, as long as it’s kept refrigerated for up to 2-3 days. Any salmon you have leftover would be great served cold on a jacket potato or in a bread roll for lunch.
